"How a Great Idea Grew" tells the story of Sticking Up For Children in a video that features music from Willerm Delisfort Group, the Royal Southern Brotherhood, Sandra Nkaké, Pretty Lights, Cyril Neville, and the Stanton Moore Group.

Sticking Up For Children began with an idea from Cyril and Gaynielle Neville and Hayand bandmates of Cyril's  in the Royal Southern Brotherhood, February 2013.

Cyril and Gaynielle brought the idea to Maryse Déjean and Don Paul. Immedialy many drummers and other musicians offered their support--donating drumsticks, signing drumsticks, painting drumsticks, ...

In May 2013 we began the Music & Arts Days that bring children and parents together in using paint-pens to decorate drumsticks.

Thanks to generous benefactors and supporting artists we were able to offer funding to five beneficiaries in 2014.

Our goal for 2015 is to provide 3D printers to each of our beneficiaries so that the creativity so evident in the students that they serve can generate objets d'art and parts for prosthetic limbs and thereby make them self-sustaining.

A 12-page booklet that accompanied our second annual Festiva de Drumsticks, 'Sticking Up For Children 2013--2015' tells our story with many images.
