Gonzalo Rubalcaba of Cuba and the United States and Danilo Pérez of Panama are among the most interesting, adventurous and profound pianists, bandleaders, and composers alive. They performed at the 11th annual Port-au-Prince International Jazz Festival in March 2017 and Don Paul met them there.
