Lèkol Toupatou culminates the life's-work of Madame Marie-Marthe Balin Franck Paul, Principal at College Canapé and an educator in Haiti since 1953, when she was age 17. Mme. Franck Paul is above, receiving the Prix Rochombe for educators in November 2020 and reviewing work by the adult students in Lèkol Toupatou Odette and Ytolia, June 2023.

Mme. Marie Yolene Desrial teaches the 18 adult students of Lèkol Toupatou in Cayes Jacmel on the southern coast of Haiti, June 2023.

Marie-Lyne and Lupson.png

Marie-Lyne and Lupson Pasteur built the Youpi Youpi school
on their property in Cayes Jacmel in 2008, wanting to serve a need for education there. They've since rebuilt the school twice and expanded its size and more than doubled its amount of students. Marie-Lyne is the school's Principal. She
and Lupson are the kind of doers and givers with whom SUFC is so lucky to partner.

SUFC's Partners in Haiti are College Canapé-Vert and the Ecole Foyer Espoir (EFE) school and the Foyer Espoir Pour les Enfants (FEPE) orphanage in Port-au-Prince
and the Youpi Youpi school in Cayes Jacmel.

Since our Partnerships began in 2013, 10 years ago, these Partners have graduated more than 1000 awards-winning students despite much duress in Haiti. Staffs and students keep going to successes.

       And in Ecology.

EFE students worked with Societé Verte Haiti (So.Ve.H) instructors to recycle JAMBAR wrappers into baskets and
purses, June 2023. What resourcefulness and creativity!

EFE and FEPE students have worked with So.Ve.H since 2017, sweeping streets and recycling plastic. Above, a shelter made
by So.Ve.H of recycled bottles. Visit
So.Ve.H here.

We want you to be part of our Partners' ongoing Story.
