Sticking Up For Children is helping to produce a Concert that honors

the great composer, educator, improviser and all-around musician Edward "Kidd" Jordan. Kidd was an early supporter of SUFC, as he was

of the World Saxophone Quartet, the New Orleans College of Creative Arts, radio-station WWOZ, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation's classes for students, New York City's Vision Festival, and New Orleans' Louis Armstrong Summer Jazz Camp.
