Beneficiaries
The biggest blessings that Sticking Up For Children enjoys come from our Beneficiaries. The different kinds of growth that each has accomplished in 2013 and 2014 offer huge satisfactions and possibilties.
SUFC has funded two Beneficiaries in Haiti and three in New Orleans. The Foyer Espoir Pour les Enfants (FEPE) orphanage and school in Port-au-Prince has grown to 35 resident orphans and over 180 students since Haiti's earthquake-year of 2010. The Youpi Youpi School in Cayes Jacmel has grown from nine students in 2009 to 64 in 2014. The Youpi Youpi School added a 2600-square-foot expansion with SUFC funding in 2014. Seven orphans' year-round expenses at FEPE were funded by SUFC in 2014 and in 2015 we helped with transporting a donated school-bus from Illinois to FEPE.
The New Orleans Youth Sound Experience (NOYSE) has received four rounds of funding since October 2013,
enabling purchase of equipment for the teaching of sound-mixing on-site and in-studio to two classes of younge people. Four rounds of funding have also gone to the Kuumba Institute of the Ashé Cultural Arts Center in New Orleans' Central City.
Please check out our 2014 vidoes about FEPE, NOYSE, and the Kuumba Institute.
