Kicking off our series of films and videos from and about Haiti is this Brunch of MixTapes and Talk among several great people: Lolo and Manzé of Boukman Eksperyans; Régine Chassagne of Arcade Fire and the support-Haiti entities
KANPE and Krewe du Kanaval; Professor of Linguistics Dr.  Lyonel Sanon of the University of Haiti (a visiting Fulbright Scholar at Xavier University); Nic Brierre Aziz,  Curator of Community Engagement at the New Orleans Museum of Art; and
Damas "Fanfan" Louis, a leading musician with the Katherine Dunham Dance Company and a Houngan Asogwe of Vodou.
Moderator for the group is Haitian-born Maryse Déjean of New Orleans' WWOZ.
Thanks in particular to Angela KIng of EVOLVE and the Angela King Gallery and to
Dr. Shearon Roberts of Xavier University and Dr. Laura Adderley of Tulane University for enabling this event. Thanks too to Judge Calvin Johnson and
medical Dr. Gabou Mendy (who served in Haiti for five years of the 21st century).
