This year Sticking Up For Children has been blessed to provide:
•Two rounds of Instruments to the Kuumba Academy, by way of Donations
to and from Hungry for Music.

•Two Snare-Drums and a Guitar to the Edna Karr High School Bands--
again through Hungry For Music.

•An Analog-and-Digital P.A. to the NuNu
Arts and Culture Collective in Acadiana.

•A Drums-Set to the Louis "Satchmo" Armstrong Summer Jazz Camp.

•JAMBARS ("JAMBAR, JAMBAR / It makes you strong!" sing Students at College Canapé Vert HERE) to the CCV, to FEPE and EFE, to the VISION FESTIVAL, to the Louis "Satchmo" Armstrong Festival, and to the Edna Karr High School Bands and Football Team. All of these 1000s of donated JAMBARS thanks to the generosity of JENNIFER MAXWELL and her team at JAMBAR Central in San Rafael, California.

College Canapé Vert--Haitian Flag-Day,
May 18 2026 

College Canapé Vert in Port-au-Prince continued to exemplify the excellence of its Staff, led by Principal Marie Marthe Balin Franck Paul, who recently reached an exceedingly robust age 90, with ceremonies and drills by over 500 Students on their campus in still strife-torn Port-au-Prince.

On April 19 Madame Franck Paul, Principall of College Canapé Vert since she founded it in 1974, turned 90!

Mme. Franck Paul is author of more than 20 books, including this biography for young adults of Haitian General and hero Toussaint Louverture.

SUFC published this Toussaint on our website in January.

Foyer Espoir Pour les Enfants (FEPE)
Welcomes Five New Students in June
 

The Orphanage that Mme. Marie Jo Poux founded in November 2009 brought five new students from Port-au-Prince to its new location in Haiti's North two months ago.

The new students are ages 4 to 7. They came to FEPE mal-nourished and fatigued.

Within a few weeks the five newcomers were fortified mightily!

So, again, SUFC has the pleasure of reporting Another Glorious Chapter in the 17 years of FEPE under Marie Jo and her likewise sacrificing colleagues!

They look so good! These photographs by Jean Baptiste Olivier, a child orphan himself 16 years ago at FEPE in Port-au-Prince after the devastating Earthquake of Janary 12, 2010, show the smiles general in all the students' new place.
